CRAFTSMANSHIP

Everything lives under one roof

There is no outsourcing of vision. Concept, selection, cutting, assembly and finishing all happen in one workshop, which is the only way to keep the distance between a thought and a thing this short.

What follows is the order in which every Elemento piece is made.

Selection

Italian hides, European and German textiles and Alcantara are chosen individually — hide by hide, roll by roll. What does not meet the standard does not enter the workshop.

The Material Library

Cutting

Each material is cut to the construction of the specific object. Grain direction, pattern alignment and the position of every seam are decided before the blade moves. Every cut has purpose.

Assembly

Leather, textile, structure and hardware are brought together by hand. This is the stage at which the object stops being a set of parts and starts holding its own shape.

Finishing

Edges are sealed and burnished, stitching is set, embossing is struck and hardware is fitted. Meaning lives in the smallest places, so each of these is inspected on its own terms.

Personalisation

Final inspection

Every finished piece is examined before it leaves the Maison. Nothing is dispatched that we would not put our own mark on — and every piece carries it.

Handmade in Italy

Catalogue pieces are made in 10 days, and pieces that include a machine in 14. Bespoke commissions within 15. Every piece is covered for one year from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship; ordinary wear from use is not covered.
